Leaving Promotional Pens Behind

By:

If you have a whole bunch of promotional pens and you just aren’t sure what you’re supposed to do with them all, there are a few ideas that may help you spread your promotional pens as advertising that could potentially bring in a lot of business for you. One of the best things you can do with your promotional pens is to leave them behind in different places where people will pick them up and use them.
One of the most obvious places to leave your printed pens is in your office. You should have a bucket of them out for your customers to take with them, it’s also good to have a sign on the bucket of promotional pens that says ‘Please take one’, to ensure that shyness won’t stop your customers from helping themselves to one of your promotional pens. You really do want your customers to take your pens home with you, because chances are they will leave them somewhere by accident, which could translate to more customers for you. Also, if they do take your promotional pen home, it will remind them of your business and services when they need them again.
You should also leave your pens behind at trade shows and fairs, purposefully. Take a few minutes to look around the trade show to find opportunities to leave your pens. If there are tables around for people to sit, leave a few pens on the table, as well as in the concession area. Drop a few pens onto each table, people will pick them up and likely scope out your booth at the trade fair to see what you have to offer. There are also other opportunities to leave your pens behind near competitor’s booths, such as open areas, form filling tables and more. Look around the trade fair and find as many opportunities to drop your pens as possible.
You can also leave your pens in banks or other businesses, by ‘accident’. Use a pen to fill out a bank form and then leave it behind on the counter. You could also give pens to friends and co workers and have them leave them around your town as well. You may be able to find a complimenting business that will allow you to leave pens there, perhaps in exchange for some of their promotional pens at your business. If you can find another business that offers a service or product that compliments yours, it may be wise to invest in a good relationship – you can refer your clients to them and they can refer their clients to you. Leaving your pens with a complimenting business can be fruitful, give them a handful to give to their clients when they leave.
There are many places that you can leave your promotional pens behind that will greatly benefit your business. Your promotional pens are advertising, and that advertising doesn’t do any good unless it is in the hands of new clients, potential clients and existing clients. So get out there and leave your promotional pens behind.
