Employed as a story writer.

By: Mark Kennelly

Simply write. It's really the only way to begin. Start with your morning routine. Did you get out of bed and run for the bathroom, then get dressed and eat? What happened after that? Did you see anyone? What did you discuss with them? Think about how things happened and describe that in your writing.

One must consider that when writing for a specified purpose, handwritten script must be simple and concise yet still getting the point across.

Then, go over what you have written. Pay attention to your word choice. Does what you wrote make sense to you? If you can, then you have begun your journey towards becoming a writer, which is one of the easiest and best jobs there are.

Don't get what you've just written? Look at it one more time. Change things around, or replace one word with another. Remember, the dictionary and thesaurus are your friends. Don't neglect them! Another idea is to find a willing proof-reader. Can he or she make sense of what you've written?

To develop writing skills, you must practice daily. The adage "practice makes perfect" is still true, especially with writing. Discipline yourself to set aside at least a half hour everyday to write. Write whatever comes to mind, describe what you see in detail.

Catch almost everything you can place your hands on - from the small advertisements in phone directory to fictions, world matters, fame news, catalogs - since anything you read will finally bind with you and turn to be a part of your arsenal of ways and vocabulary. Reading builds you very much better at writing. It is a demonstrated trait.

Next, try writing some articles. If you are unsure of yourself, you can from article writing tips either in books, or through searching the Internet. Get started by writing about something simple, like a birthday party for a family member, or even about the laundry detergent you use.

At all times, nevertheless, bear in mind to answer these basic rules: Why, What, When, Who, Where and How. At the time you can respond to all these in your short piece of text, possibilities are you are well covered.

To turn your skill in writing into a job opportunity, you can begin by offering your writing services to different companies and publishers as you approach them. When doing this always carry a writing sample so that you can show them an example of your writing ability.

The minute your writing gets published, you are almost there. But keep working. Keep improving. Never be satisfied with what you have written. Even if you have covered a topic once, try and see if you can write about the same topic in another way and from another perspective. This is another exercise that will only benefit you in the long run

For additional motivation, look for a job at a local newspaper. The community administration center could even need writing staff for its periodicals. The opportunitys are boundless.

Now you can try writing short stories. If you need some help there are books available that will offer tips, or you can get the information you need on the internet. Of course your short story will need a plot, or perhaps there is a message you want to convey to the reader. There are many magazines that buy short stories.

You may want to try "blogging" which is an electronic diary. If you can take criticism, good and bad, it allows you to not only record your thoughts, but the criticism you receive can give you insight to your language, style, and mistakes. When you can identify your strengths and weaknesses, it will make you a better writer with each comment.

A lot of today's young adults are hooked on blogs. Many will become bloggers themselves as time goes on.

A blog, short for weblog, is a web site where text, hypertext, images, and links to other sites are posted on a somehwat regular basis. These are very popular among Generations X and Y, in part because the language used on blogs is a lingo that they are more comfortable with than others. A shared slang can make a blog's contents more interesting to its readership.

If you want to begin blogging, look for some blog writing tips. Another option would be to visit a blog and ask the blogger if they have any suggestions or pointers. There are some successful bloggers who have turned their blog into a way for them to make money by attracting advertisers, and have turned it into their full-time job.

Whatsoever your intention, writing is truly fun. It is all about words and applying your ideas into words. It wages even people reading your activity know you. Maybe even be affected by what you have written.

But no matter what, simply beginning it is the key.
